Appointments

Periodically, emergencies and surgeries interrupt our daily schedule and may delay or postpone office appointments. Because of the nature of our practice, we give our patients the utmost in care and service. Please excuse any inconvenience; we will give you the same careful attention as soon as possible.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact the office within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment.

Telephone Calls

The telephone is an important part in any medical practice. We request that routine calls, billing questions, appointments, etc. be made during office hours. If you are calling concerning an illness, please contact our medical staff. They can advise you or discuss the situation with the doctor and call you back. If an emergency arises when our offices are closed, the answering service will contact the doctor on call and your call will be returned.

We will try to return your calls the same day on weekdays and as soon as possible on weekends and holidays.

Prescriptions

It is not our policy to prescribe medications over the phone. Prescriptions for long term medications will be handled during office hours if you are under active care.

To refill prescriptions, call your pharmacist. The pharmacy will contact our office for verification of the refill. No prescriptions will be refilled if you have not been seen for one year.

Refills for pain medications will only be filled during business hours.

Hospitalizations

All of our urologists are on the medical staffs of all Spokane hospitals including Sacred Heart, Holy Family, Deaconess and Valley Hospital.

Billing and Financial Policies

Spokane Urology’s insurance department will send in your claim for all primary insurances if given proper billing information. Our bookkeeping department is able to bill a secondary policy with sufficient information; please inquire about this at the time services are rendered.

Emergencies

Emergencies will receive priority attention over routine problems. After hours, the answering service will contact the doctor on call through the office at the following telephone number: 509-747-3147.
