Dr. Pearce is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist providing care for all types of benign and malignant urologic conditions in men and women. He is a native of western Montana, and is thrilled to be back in the Inland Northwest with his family. He graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He stayed for medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for finishing in the top 10% of his class.
Following medical school, he completed a six-year urology residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, the highest volume minimally invasive, robotic surgery program in Illinois. He logged over 350 robotic cases during residency and trained with well-recognized experts in prostate, bladder, testicular and kidney cancer. Residency sparked an interest in caring for patients with advanced urologic cancers and Dr. Pearce chose to complete a prestigious, two-year SUO-accredited fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Southern California. At USC + LA County Medical Center, he built upon his prior training, performing hundreds of complex open and robotic surgeries with internationally recognized leaders in the field at the premier urologic oncology program on the west coast.
Dr. Pearce continues to be involved in numerous research and teaching pursuits as he was during residency and fellowship. He performs basic science research and population-based health outcomes research in attempt to better understand and treat patients with urologic cancers, and has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. Dr. Pearce serves as peer-reviewer for several major urologic journals. He was awarded the Resident and Medical Student Teaching Award during fellowship and will continue to be involved in teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Washington State University College of Medicine.
Outside of work Dr. Pearce enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He is passionate about the outdoors, and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, fly-fishing, and camping. He is also an aspiring golfer.
