Dr. Michael Maccini was raised just north of Spokane and graduated from Mount Spokane High School. He subsequently attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, followed by medical school at the University of Vermont where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Following medical school, he spent six years in Denver, Colorado completing his urology residency (two years of general surgery training followed by four years of urology training), with time spent at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health (a Level I Trauma Center), Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the Denver VA Medical Center.
Dr. Maccini offers treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions, including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction, as well as prostate, testicular, bladder, and kidney cancer. During his residency, he received training in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery on the da Vinci Surgical System for both malignant and benign conditions, including pelvic prolapse. He also spent extensive time with two reconstructive urologists during his time in Denver and has an interest in surgical management of urethral stricture disease.
Dr. Maccini believes patient education and understanding is an important foundation to effective healthcare and enjoys the impact that urologists can have on patients’ quality of life.
His wife is also from the Spokane area and they are thrilled to be back in the Inland Northwest.
